Dear colleagues and collaborators,
We are pleased to announce that the 8th International Transdisciplinary Symposium Bioethics and the Apories of the Psyche will take place on May 9th and 10th, 2024.
This year, the symposium will be held in a hybrid format, featuring both in-person presentations and an online module.
The main themes for this year’s symposium are:
- Culture of empathy and mental health;
- Philosophical practice focused on working with special groups
- Existential psychotherapy in a contemporary context;
- Promotion and protection of mental health in the community;
Additionally, the program will be enriched with recent publications, a round table, workshops, a philosophical forum theater performance, and art exhibitions. The official languages of the symposium are Croatian and English.
Registration fees for presenters are: 30 euros for researchers, and 15 euros for students, retirees, and unemployed individuals. Payment instructions will be provided by the organizing committee upon acceptance of the abstract.
The organizers of this year’s symposium include the Center for Bioethics at the Faculty of Philosophy and Religious Studies, University of Zagreb, the Croatian Bioethical Society, the Scientific Center of Excellence for Integrative Bioethics, the Croatian Association for Mental Health, the Croatian Philosophical Society, the School of Public Health “Andrija Štampar”, Amigdala Center, the Croatian Institute for Research and Evaluation of Mental Health (HIIEMZ), and the International Academy of Sciences and Arts in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The symposium will be held at the Faculty of Philosophy and Religious Studies, University of Zagreb, Jordanovac 110. Fakultet filozofije i religijskih znanosti Sveučilišta u Zagrebu, Jordanovac 110.
