In February 2023, the Amigdala Center started implementing the project "Therapy Companion – Development of a French Key for Psychotherapy" (project reference number: NPOO.C1.1.2.R2-I3.02.0217), which is funded by the Recovery and Resilience Facility under the Call for Proposals "Grants for Newly Established Companies." Under this name, we are developing an application aimed at making the work of psychotherapists and counseling therapists easier by enabling: quicker and easier scheduling of appointments with clients, facilitated overview of sessions and other tasks, faster and more efficient keeping of high-quality, theory-driven notes and diagnostics, easier review of these notes, and access to personal statistics.
Through interaction with numerous participants and lecturers, most of whom are engaged in psychotherapeutic and counseling work, the need for the digitalization of psychotherapists' and counseling therapists' work has been demonstrated. This platform would allow data consolidation and act as an organizer and guide through psychotherapeutic work, both for experienced therapists and trainees in the field of psychotherapy. The project lasts for 24 months, with a total project value of EUR 176,562.29.

As part of the implementation of the project "Therapy Companion – Development of a French Key for Psychotherapy," a complementary functionality application called Therapy Explorer is also being developed, aimed at statistical data processing.
By using Therapy Companion, therapists will be able to manage appointments, take notes adapted to the theory and methodology of gestalt psychotherapy in digital form, and keep personal and global statistics, which collect data with great potential for conducting scientific research in psychotherapy. Through Therapy Explorer, users will be able to process, sort, and review large amounts of data that have been "translated" into scientifically relevant data, which can be used in research in psychotherapy to evaluate the effectiveness of the gestalt approach, psychotherapy in general, as well as to position psychotherapy as an independent scientific discipline.

Therapy Companion and software for
statistical data processing - Therapy Explorer.
These were developed through in-house
research and have been brought to
Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 5,
meaning validation of the technology in a
relevant environment. This refers to a measurement system in which each TRL level characterizes the stage of technology development. The use of the TRL method allows for the standardization of understanding the technical maturity of different types of technology. The TRL system is applied in all types of research, regardless of whether it involves an innovation concerning a product or a service. There are 9 levels of technology readiness; TRL 1 is the lowest, and TRL 9 is the highest, most mature technology. The goal is to bring the products to TRL 9 while increasing the company's capacity, investment readiness, sales and export revenue, and the number of employees.
