Amigdala Center is proud to share the announcement of the upcoming 7th International Conference on Philosophical Counseling and Practice, organized by the National Philosophical Counseling Association (NPCA). NPCA, renowned for its long-standing commitment to the development of philosophical counseling, invites professionals to submit papers, panel proposals, and commentaries on topics related to philosophical practice. Some of the key topics include:
- the future of philosophical practice
- the ethics of philosophical practice
- philosophical practice and psychotherapy
- logic-based therapy (LBT) and consultation
- philosophical practice and the pandemic
- philosophical practice and Stoicism
- philosophical practice and Buddhism
- philosophical practice in Indian philosophy
- philosophical practice and the LGBTQ community
We invite all interested participants to submit papers (approximately 25 minutes in length) or panel proposals by December 15, 2024 to Dr. Samuel Zinaich, NPCA Eastern Division Coordinator(zinaich@pnw.edu). Papers presented at the conference will also have the opportunity to be peer-reviewed for publication in the International Journal of Philosophical Practice.
Through its collaboration with NPCA and the Logic-Based Therapy & Consultation Institute, Amigdala Center continues to contribute to the promotion and development of philosophical counseling in Croatia.
