We are pleased to announce that Amigdala Center has signed a cooperation agreement for the implementation of education in philosophical counseling with the U.S. Logic- Based Therapy & Consultation Institute, the European Logic-Based Therapy & Consultation Institute, and the Croatian Association for Philosophical Practice. This collaboration marks an important step forward in our efforts to enhance and expand the influence of philosophical counseling in Croatia and the region.
The U.S. Logic-Based Therapy & Consultation Institute was founded in 1985 by Elliot D. Cohen with the aim of deepening the connection between logic and philosophy with REBT (Rational-Emotive Behavior Therapy). Initially focused on clinical research and publications, the Institute joined the NPCA(National Philosophical Counseling Association)in 1992, which is part of the American Philosophical Association (APA). Since 2005, the LBTC Institute has been running the Logic-Based Therapy (LBT) program.
The European Logic-Based Therapy & Consultation Institute (ELBT&CI), established in 2022, is a partner and franchise holder of the Logic-Based Therapy & Consultation Institute (LBT&CI) and has become part of a strong global network for training and consultation.
The Croatian Association for Philosophical Practice has, since its inception, gathered enthusiasts and practitioners with the aim of promoting philosophical counseling in Croatia.
In addition to providing education in philosophical counseling, we will collaborate as partners to raise awareness about the need and benefits of such practice and the contributions it can make in the field of mental health protection through the organization of workshops, guest lectures, training, and certifying instructors for teaching LBT, and various other activities.
Upon completion of the philosophical counseling education at Amigdala Center, participants will receive a certificate also endorsed by the LBTC Institute, which further validates their knowledge and skills in the field of philosophical counseling. This collaboration not only provides a high level of education but also guarantees international recognition of the qualification, ensuring a high standard in the practice of philosophical counseling.
